Alice and Midas | The Nelson Family | Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

For most of my newborn sessions there is one start of the show - the baby! But Midas the dog tried extremely hard to make himself the main attraction of the Nelson’s lifestyle newborn session. I will have to admit, he was quite cute in his bow-tie and it was hard to resist his big brown eyes glancing up at me. He added such a cute dynamic to this already adorable couple and their new baby girl, Alice. It was a perfect session - it has such a classic feel which is perfect for a baby girl with such a classic name. Thanks Katie and Ryan for inviting me into your home to capture this special time.

Free | Violet | Indianapolis Family Photographer

First, I was elated to shoot at this location again.  It's so vibrant and unique.  It's not a typical family session location, but I love the way the colors pop in the background.  Add a beautiful couple and their sweet baby girl, it's pretty much perfect.  Mom shared with me that baby Violet had been on oxygen 24/7 since birth and just recently was able to graduate from having constant tubes and an oxygen tank attached to her.  They wanted to commemorate this milestone and her newfound "freedom" with a photo session.  The entire family rocked out this session - I think it only lasted 50 minutes but I ended up delivering over 115 images (because I LOVED them all!), which was a record for a family session.

Details:

• $165 for a 20 minute session
• Includes 8 edited images that you pick with print release (option to upgrade for $50 to receive all edited images)
• Limited to 5 people per session
• Payment is due upon booking and is non-refundable (exception noted below).  If you have to cancel, your payment will go towards another session with Kelly Martin Photography.
• If inclement weather occurs, a backup date will be provided.  If that date does not work for you, we can work out an individual session time or I will refund your fee.

A Breath of Fresh Air | Baby Owen

Traditional newborn sessions are held in-home or in my studio.  So when the Neikirk's suggested holding their session outdoors, for a casual, candid session, I was so excited.  Late May brought some really warm weather, which was perfect for our sunset session (babies like it hot - they were cooking in mom's belly at 98.6 degrees for 9 months).  The light, the warmth, and the gushing love over their newborn baby boy all made this session come together so nicely. (:

Light + Love | The Smith Family | Carmel Family Photographer

I'm always amazed when a family can get multiple people up and picture-ready for an early morning photo session.  (I know when I wake up I'm always so glad all I have to do is put my contacts in and slap on some casual clothes - no make up needed here! You're welcome clients - I make you look good!!)  (:  Eric and Kristen managed to get themselves ready, as well as 9 month-old Theo, and teens Cayden and Conner.  And the dogs joined us too!  They all looked amazing and we had a wonderful session.  Kristen's parents even drove up from Bloomington to join us at the end.  Thanks to the Smith's for once again trusting me with their memories.
