Introducing Lily | The Kleiner Family | Westfield Newborn Photographer

I have been itching to share this session.  Sometimes it's so nice when a newborn client is more interested in having a documentary-type session rather than a full posed session.  I love both types of sessions but the lifestyle one is a little more laid back and relaxed.  It's all about capturing the moments as they are - baby snuggling with mom and dad, catching them gazing at baby, kissing and loving on her, and cementing this moment in time with photographs from those early days.  Did I mention that I LOVE lifestyle newborn sessions?? 

Miss Lily came into this world on June 30th. She was about 2 weeks old for our session but you would have thought she was 4-6 weeks old with how active she was.  Seriously - I tried to swaddle her in the beginning and she was Not. Having. It.  Nope.  So Plan B - dress her in a cutie outfit and put her in mom and dad's arms. 

I love the images we captured.  And how gorgeous is Beth (mom)????  You never would have known she had a baby in her belly just 2 weeks prior.  (:  Thank you Joe and Beth for inviting me into your home during this special (& crazy) time in your lives.

Pretty Girl | Welcome Ayla | Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

I had the privilege of photographing the gorgeous Logan family and their new baby girl, Ayla in late May.  I don't think I've ever met anyone or ever heard of the name Ayla, but instantly I thought how beautiful it sounded.  Such a beautiful name for a beautiful girl.  And speaking of beautiful, Kristen (mom) looked stunning.  (Really did you just pop out a baby and throw on your normal jeans??  Because who can do that??)

The highlight of the session was the sibling shots with big bro Wyatt.  He did SO well and cuddled and kissed and loved on little sis.  It was pretty much the sweetest thing ever.  Mom, you can bring these pics out when they are bickering preschoolers fighting over toys and other ridiculous things.  (: 

Thanks so much to the Logan's for allowing me to capture this crazy, precious, blink and you'll miss it time in your lives.

Ava Marie | The Zeunik Family | Brownsburg Family Photographer

I take great pleasure in writing this blog for our wonderful friends the Zeunik's.  Joe and my husband grew up together and even lived together after college.  It was in those years when they were living together that Jenny started dating Joe and I also started dating Tony.  Actually I think they started dating in the same month that Tony and I did.  Who knew then that we had found our future spouses and our kids would grow up together.  Oh how things have changed from the epic beer pong and beach parties they used to throw. 

Joe and Jenny welcomed Ava Marie at the beginning of May.  She was welcomed by two older sisters Macy and Mackenzie.  Ava was a sweet angel that blessed this amazing family that had a rough year.  I won't go into details because it's not my story to tell but she was a much needed light at the end of dark tunnel.  I was so happy for them when Jenny announced they were expecting. 

I was so honored to photograph Ava Marie and her sweet cheeks.  (:  Thanks to the Zeunik's for the opportunity. I so look forward to watching her and the girls grow up together - what a wonderful bond they will have.

Hello Webb | The Hawickhorst Family | Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

Andrew and Emily (and doggie sister Sophie) welcomed baby Webb on May 5th.  The little guy just couldn't wait to enter this crazy world as he surprised everyone with an early arrival by about 3 weeks.  Our lifestyle session was perfect.  We were able to shoot inside and out, Webb was a perfect little sleepy bear, Sophie made her appearances, and we even got some ever-important grandparent shots. 

Oh and it goes without saying that I loved the red flowers they had planted in front of their house - what a great splash of color to the photos!   

A huge thanks to Andy and Emily for welcoming me into their home to capture some sweet moments as a family of three (Sophie would be mad at me if she read this - I probably should say family of four).  (:

Baby John | The Moore Family | Indianapolis Newborn Photographer

Welcome to the world Baby John!  I had the privilege of meeting and photographing a sweet, sweet couple and their newest addition, John, last month. I love spending time with new parents. Unlike many of my other clients that I meet during their pregnancy stage for maternity photos, I met Allison and Brian for the first time the day of John's newborn session.  I'm always so honored when couples invite me into their home and trust me with this little person that means more than anything in the world to them. Allison and Brian were so warm and inviting. And they certainly didn't act like new parents - they appeared seasoned and relaxed.  They were so smittin' with their little guy.  Ashley's mom was present at the session too.  I absolutely LOVE when grandparents get involved - any session - newborn, family, children - grandparents make everything so much better.  What child does not love their grandparents??  And what grandparent does not adore their grandchild/grandchildren?? 

Anyway, prepare yourself for complete and utter sweetness:

Thank you to Brian and Allison for the opportunity to capture this amazing time in your lives.  Allison, I'm so happy you get to stay home with your little guy and snuggle with him each day.  You will look back on this time many years from now and be so glad you spent every day with him during those first few years.
