Maternity Mini | The Earle Family | Fishers Maternity Photographer

The weather was not the warmest but we ended up with some great golden light at the end of this mini maternity session. Corinne (mom) was already at 36 weeks at the session and we didn't want to wait any longer. So the family endured a chilly March evening at Heritage Gardens in Fishers. Two-year old Aubrey was go, go, go the whole time but we captured a few sweet moments. Corinne and Casey are expecting baby #2 in mid-April and I love that they didn't find out what they are having. I can't wait to meet surprise baby soon at our upcoming newborn session. (:

On another note, Corinne and I went to high school together back in Valparaiso, IN - she is a couple years younger than me and although we did not hang out with the same group of friends, I always remember her big smile. And seriously, she looks the same (well, sans belly) and still has that big, beautiful smile! (:

Belly to Baby | The Patel Family | Indianapolis Maternity and Newborn Photographer

Have I mentioned before that I really like getting to know my clients, especially ones I've never met before but hit it off with right off the bat?? That's how I feel about the Patel's. The Patel's were my first "package" family. They purchased a newborn package that included three additional sessions: maternity, 6 month, and 12 month. And now I can't believe our sessions are already half way over!

Their maternity session was held back in early December at University Park in Greenwood. I was excited to meet Mona (mom), Jiger (dad) and soon-to-be big brother Ansh. Mona was a beautiful expecting mom, although I know she was starting to get that uncomfortable phase. And let's just say that Ansh loves the camera - he was a little shy at first but when it was time to turn it on and smile - he was all about it. (: I think the photos speak for themselves. He also is a super huggy and kissy boy - so sweet (:

Baby boy Pransh was born on January 14, 2016, a couple days before his due date, but I know mom was ready. (: They invited me into their home when he was 6 days old for some family and baby photos. Pransh is surrounded by an adoring family.

Two Boys and an Angel | The Manifold Family | Indianapolis Maternity and Newborn Photographer

Not only do I love meeting new clients but I love connecting with clients. The Manifold's were referred to me by my hairdresser Melissa King (thanks Melissa!!). Aaron and Erin were expecting their second boy and wanted some maternity photos done. We met on a sunny Sunday morning in November - Erin was due in about 4 weeks. I instantly loved their laid back nature and the session just seemed to flow wonderfully - something that doesn't always happen when you have a session with a 2 year old. Their son Wesley was a doll - so sweet and smiles all around. (:

I was so excited when they called to tell me baby Sawyer had arrived and they were hoping to have a newborn session. I met them at their home when Sawyer was 5 days old. A December baby can be chaos (I have one of my own) - like having a baby isn't hard enough, add in holiday stress, decorating, presents, and family gatherings and it can make you crazy. I know the Manifold's were taking it all in stride. (:

Once I arrived at their house, I noticed photos of a baby girl all over the living room. And both Aaron and Erin mentioned something in passing about another child. Then I saw the stocking with "Avery" on it. I had to ask - not to pry - but I couldn't not ask - I knew these photos were of a special baby. Aaron graciously answered my question, telling me they lost their first baby - baby girl Avery - at 4 months in a daycare accident. My heart sunk. As a mother, I could not imagine losing a child. Erin shared with me later that they found out 5 weeks after losing Avery that they were pregnant with Wesley - a complete surprise. God is mysterious but God is good. I was inspired by their choice to honor Avery every day of their lives and hold her close in their hearts.

Baby Sawyer was another gift from God and boy, are these parents proud and feel so blessed. Words can't describe this love and emotion so I'll let the photos speak for themselves:

We finished up the session inside (notice all of the outside shots - yeah it was 60 degrees in the middle of December in Indiana - CRAZY!).

Summer Babe | The Landrigan Family | Indianapolis Maternity and Newborn Photographer

Another flashback session from this summer. The Landrigan's were another family that graciously took me up on my offer to be part of my portfolio building days. They really put their trust in me because I was capturing a very special time in their lives: their second pregnancy and the first few days of new baby Lucy's life. We had their maternity session back in late June at Cool Creek Park. Caitilin and Tom are such a beautiful couple, inside and out, and I think these photos reflect that. Big sister Mary turned two last summer and was so excited to be a big sister.

My husband and I met the Landrigan's about 5 years ago through a marriage prep program called One in Christ. We both are facilitators for the program and also serve on the board of directors. We were brought together through our faith and they have become wonderful friends of ours. Caitilin also has the privilege of staying home with her girls so we plan playdates every now and then. Little Mary has fun bossing my boys around. (: Don't worry, they like it. (:

Little Lucy came into this world on August 5th and weighed 7lbs. 11 oz. Tom and Caitilin are such loving and heart-felt parents - a model for how much everyone should love their children.

Belly to Baby | The Kluesner Family | Fisher's Maternity and Newborn Photographer

It is something super special when I get to see clients go from "belly to baby" and watch their families grow. The Kluesner's (Amy, Brad, and 2 year-old Henry) were expecting to add to their family in late October - another baby boy. We met on an August evening at Heritage Gardens in Fisher's for their maternity photos. I actually know the Kluesner's through some mutual friends, but as neither of us realized until right before our session, my husband and I facilitated a marriage prep program that they participated in when they were engaged. I had a great time getting to know them during both the maternity session and their on-location newborn session. I also loved meeting sweet Henry - a smiley and energetic boy. (:

John Thomas Kluesner came into the world a couple weeks early. He must have been ready to go, go, go because he was bright-eyed during most of our newborn session. He was not having it for the majority of the posed portion so we turned our efforts to getting some sweet lifestyle shots. I had a hard time narrowing down the photos for the blog - the ones with John and mom and dad just make your heart smile, right???
